Home School Friends Network

The Home School Friends Network organized in March of 2005 and has grown to include over 250 families.  We are not an association and there is no membership fee for participation.  Our goal is to build a sense of community among homeschoolers in our area.  We hope to provide quality events, activities and clubs for all homeschoolers.

We're in the process of updating our website, so please be patient with us!

We'll be adding information on skating, testing, clubs and upcoming events.  If you know of an event of interest to homeschoolers that is open to ALL homeschoolers, please email me at tlccline@yahoo.com.

If you would like to organize an activity or event, let us know and we'll help spread the word!

We'll be adding a bulletin board, guest book, visitor counter, and more.  If there is something you'd like to see added, please let us know!

Some Upcoming Events You'll Want to Know About

There is a Water Park Day for homeschoolers at the Alma Water Park on August 1, 2007.  For more information, please contact Debbie Mertens at mertens@cox.net.

Behind the Scenes of the Home Page

Behind the scenes of the homepage are five kids homeschooling (actually four doing school plus one little four year old boy who has sneaked off somewhere and is probably wreaking havoc as four year old boys tend to do), and a baby who will be walking anytime now.  Mom, aka the teacher, is sitting at the computer trying to get the new website going before A) the havoc has been wreaked B) the baby gets hungry,  C) time for spelling has ended or D) my husband calls to say he's coming home early and I've got to pick up the house!  We've been homeschooling for nine years and we're still loving it.
